Source Material: Upload Your Own Sources

An ARC's Source Material includes links to articles, reports, or other source material that you've saved or added related to your research. Similar to Search Results, ARCbot will consider these sources when generating content in ARC, including its scenarios, decomposition, memos, and reports. However, content you've deemed Source Material is weighed more heavily by ARCbot than Search Results.

You can add Source Material in two ways:

(1) Adding links or uploading documents manually

The Source Material section of an ARC has 3 ways to manually add content:

  1. Add New Link - allows you to enter a single URL
  2. Upload a document or PDF - you can upload your own files, documents, and PDF’s
  3. Bulk add URLs/Links - Similar to adding a single URL/link, this option allows you to paste in a collection of URLs

When you add Source Material in any of these ways, ARC will automatically read and save the content (e.g. the content of a PDF you upload) for future use.

(2) Saving content from ARC Search Results

ARC will search the internet for content related to your ARC topic. Any relevant results it finds will appear in the Search Results section. You can then flag results as relevant or useful by clicking the “Add to Source Material” button.
